The ambiance was friendly without being noisy. The service was good. The food lacked memorable character. The fly doing a back stroke in my husband's beer detracted from our enjoyment of the evening.
Our overall impression was that Old Fulton Seafood Cafe is okay, but we are no in a hurry to return.
I would stick to the fried menu. The oysters were not fresh and the ceviche tasted like they had it in fridge for two days. They did allow us a refund for both dishes as my wife only took one bite of both. I had the ruben which was edible but uninspired as the cornbeef was a bit old, the bread was not toasted, and they did not bother to strain the sauerkraut. The slaw was probably the best part of the meal but nothing special. stay away!
We enjoyed the fresh seafood and good flavors. The coconut shrimp are very large, and the fish Veracruz had great flavor with its mix of olives, onions and tomatoes. Fish was fresh.
Service was very slow and not attentive. Very small portions with little flavor. Large sandwich had one small piece of fish and was quite soggy. Disappointing !!
Another great meal at the Old Fulton Seafood and Deli. Been there many times and have never had a bad meal. Terrific people!
